Dont hate me for what I am about to say

 I dont want to pull the line of “I struggle with this so I am aloud to say it”. But I am going to pull the “ I struggle with mental illness so I’m going to say it”


When it comes to mental health, it is definitely a mind over matter thing. BUT before you completely say “Fuck you Ashlei”... HEAR ME OUT!!! 

Think about this:

How many times have you woken up and just known it was going to be a shit day? How many times have you heard a song that just triggers you into a dark place? How many times did you just not feel like getting out of bed and gave yourself so many excuses to stay in bed?

Is that not a mind over matter situation? Your allowing your mind to be swallowed into the matter that’s preventing you from having a great day! 

If you haven’t boycotted me yet, hear me out on this one. 

Start your day differently. Try it for just 24 hours. Set an alarm for 1 hour before you actually need to wake up. Grab a bible (If you are religious) or a self development book, or something! Do that for 10-15 minutes. Listen to Tony Robbins or any sort of motivational speaker. I really like Tony Robbins voice but it could be anyone... THEN, and this one is a MUST... Write down TEN things, not five or eight but TEN things you are grateful for... ALL BEFORE YOU TOUCH THAT PHONE... DONT TOUCH THAT PHONE... Just focus on yourself and what kind of mindset YOU want to have. Because you are going to create what kind of day you have... HELL even blast your favorite tunes from 2010 and pretend like your in Madison Square Garden. That hour is YOURS. I can’t even tell you what kind of difference it makes. 

Instead of letting mental health grab you by the balls, grab your mental health by the balls and show it whose in charge!! 


Now go make today your bitch!! You deserve it!
